About Rembor & Partners
History
Rembor & Partners was first founded 1891 by Scotsman Eugene Rembor, a retail merchant. Eugene wanted to be able to offer his "colonial goods" more competitively and advised merchant navy captains on how to negotiate better purchasing prices with their overseas suppliers and that it would be beneficial to drop goods at certain ports on their way back to Scotland, where they would be picked up by clients, rather than bringing the merchandise all the way back to Britain, where it would be taxed and then being wholesaled back to France --- the first ever supply chain consultant was born. Soon Eugene begun to advise his friends in the guild and became a respected counsel, renown for his integrity, honesty and knowledge, values that still make Rembor & Partners over 100 years later.
The business was owned by Eugene until his death in 1962. His son Hugo Conrad, who left for Germany 10 years earlier, continued the family business there and became wealthy by consulting food giant Jacobs, later to be know as Kraft-Jacobs-Suchard. Hugo's son Eugene Rembor II returned to Britain in 1999 and founded Rembor & Partners Ltd.
